Description
Before the glamping category (glamour + camping) became a trend in international accommodation, even before it was invented to designate luxurious and authentic means of accommodation, isolated in the world and in communion with exuberant nature, Vila Naiá appeared in Corumbau, with 4 suites and 4 houses distributed in an area of 50 thousand m2 that reproduce the charm and charm of the local village and value the region’s traditions, without neglecting the refinement in services, the sophisticated interior design and the gastronomic excellence.
Corumbau means ‘away from all worries’ in the language of the Pataxó Indians. Is it over there; on an almost deserted 15 km beach, whose waters are warm and crystal clear, that the first Portuguese disembarked and were welcomed by the local people; where Vila Naiá is located.
The accommodation was elected by Condé Nast Traveller UK as the best beach hotel in the world, for the authentic way in which it combines the simplicity of a fishermen’s village in the south of Bahia with the refinement of an international standard establishment.
At Vila Naiá, everything is handmade and in fine harmony with the environment, a tribute from the architect Renato Marquez and the creator Renata Mellão, not only to the culture of Corumbau, but also to artisans of all places and times.
The 8 accommodations, 4 suites and 4 houses, were designed to be similar to the fishermen’s houses, built with rediscovered wood and covered with traditionally produced planks, in addition to windows at opposite cardinal points to allow for the breeze that blows from the sea.
Long wooden walkways that accompany the natural swell of the sand interconnect the spaces and the naturally impactful garden, with the ground all designed by leaves and white sand, in addition, of course, to the native vegetation that reveres the beauty of the nature of the place.
