Rifóles Praia Hotel & Resort is located in the heart of Natal’s main beach: the Ponta Negra Beach. The Hotel is inspired by the pirate Jacques Riffault and the free brazilian spirit.

Jacques Riffault (called Rifoles in North Brazilian territory) was a French Pirate from the 17th century who apparently bought brazilian wood from the Potiguar native Indians, to sell in Europe, and in maritime travel, stole some Portuguese galleons which were carrying treasures from Brazil for the King of Portugal.

Alecrim, Natal’s neighborhood, received the name of Refoles or Rifoles in honor of the pirate. The population still knows the barrio with the pirate´s name, especially in the Natal Naval Base area.

The hotel was created as a refuge of Pirate with apartments called “cabins”, employees dressed in clothes that resemble the world of pirate and a recreational area known as “Pirate Island”.
